Tony Bagett from the fledgling Pembrey and Burry Ports Mens shed "Beyond the Shed", led a great afternoon of photographic technique, from getting more from your mobile phone to an introduction to the latest camera technology.
The talk was followed by a really lovely walk around the old paths of Burry Port, where we got to try out the new ideas.
Using the panoramic mode to take photos up a tree created some unusual images!
Tony was rewarded with a beautiful scorpion fly who landed on his face, which offered a perfect macrophotography opportunity!!
The highlight might have been meeting Megan and her family. Named after Lloyd George's daughter (though she was quick to add her mother didn't know him)! She lives in the old watermill above the town. She regaled us with some great stories. Her house was built from Scottish stone used as ballast in ships returning from Scotland to pick up more coal from Burry Port.
A by gone age! Yet it all felt very timeless today as we pottered around with our high tech phones and cameras!
